Glenfinnan Viaduct, located in the Scottish Highlands, is a railway arch bridge built in the late 19th century. It stretches approximately 380 meters and features 21 arches. How to Get There

The most convenient way to get to the Glenfinnan Viaduct is by car or chartered vehicle; a common route is about a 30-minute drive from Fort William. You can also take the train to Glenfinnan Station, but trains are limited. There is parking near the bridge; from there, it's about a 10-20 minute walk uphill to the viewpoint. It's recommended to check the steam train schedule in advance to plan your photography.

Travel Tips

The viaduct is an outdoor viewpoint, and the weather greatly affects the experience. Crowds increase significantly during peak season and when the steam train is running, so it's recommended to arrive early to secure a good spot. The path to the viewpoint is a dirt and grassy track, which can be slippery on rainy days.
