Akershus Fortress, built in the 13th century, is an important medieval defensive structure in Oslo. Situated on a high point overlooking the harbor, the fortress served for a long time as a royal palace and military stronghold. The walls and towers are well-preserved, and some areas house museums. It not only carries historical significance but also offers excellent views of Oslo Harbor.
