Two to three days before the group's departure, our customer service will provide an English invitation letter and a Chinese departure notice via email, and assist in creating a WeChat group so that our English-speaking assistant can contact you in advance to arrange airport pick-up. One day before departure, our English-speaking assistant will add the Chinese-speaking tour guide to the WeChat group for convenient itinerary communication and coordination.
2. Is there a minimum number of participants for this Egypt tour? What is the maximum number of participants?
This tour is a small international group tour for 2-12 people, with a minimum of two people required to form a group. All open tour dates are operating normally. The actual number of participants may vary slightly depending on the departure date, and you may share transportation with other tourists during the trip.
3. What personal information is required when registering?
Please provide complete personal information when booking, including name, gender, date of birth, nationality, passport information, contact email and mobile phone number, in order to complete order confirmation, airport pick-up arrangements and itinerary services.
4. What is the airport pick-up procedure upon arrival in Egypt?
Upon arrival at Cairo Airport, an English-speaking assistant will be waiting with a sign at the visa-on-arrival area to assist with visa processing (visa fee is US$25 per person, payable by the guest). After clearing customs and retrieving your luggage, your Egypt trip will officially begin.
5. Do I need to exchange for local currency in advance?
We recommend that guests exchange an appropriate amount of US dollars in cash before departure or at the airport. US dollars are widely accepted in Egypt, and Euros are also acceptable; there is generally no need to exchange for Egyptian pounds. For attraction tickets and some other purchases, only Visa or Mastercard are accepted; we suggest carrying an international credit card with you.
6. Are students eligible for ticket discounts?
Some attractions offer discounted tickets for students. Tickets must be purchased on-site and a valid international student ID must be presented to enjoy the discount. Eligible visitors are advised to carry the relevant documents with them at all times.
7. Is there a Chinese-speaking tour guide accompanying you throughout the trip?
This tour includes a licensed Egyptian Chinese-speaking guide. However, due to the multiple cities and long-distance transfers involved, there may be instances where the guide leads the group in separate segments. During transfers between cities or free time in the Red Sea, only a driver or English-speaking assistant will usually be provided; a Chinese-speaking guide will not be present. Specific arrangements will depend on the actual itinerary.
8. Is it possible to adjust the itinerary and transportation?
This tour is a destination-based group tour and an international group tour. Due to flight times, hotel locations, or group integration needs, there may be situations where vehicles are combined, different hotels are picked up along the way, or the order of sightseeing on the day may be adjusted. However, the overall itinerary will not be affected without reducing the number of attractions.
9. Are there any mandatory shopping trips or optional excursions during the trip?
This is a sightseeing tour with no mandatory shopping stops. The tour guide may recommend optional activities depending on the itinerary, such as hot air ballooning, diving, or desert activities. These are entirely voluntary, and participants can decide whether to participate based on their own wishes; once confirmed, they cannot be cancelled.
10. Are there any risks associated with self-funded projects?
Some optional activities, such as camel riding, hot air ballooning, diving, and desert safari, carry inherent risks. Guests are advised to choose these activities carefully based on their physical condition and within their capabilities. Some activities may include local meals; due to differences in dietary habits and hygiene standards, those with sensitive stomachs are advised to consume only small amounts or bring their own snacks.
11. Does Egypt have a tipping culture?
Tipping is common in Egypt. In addition to the tips for tour guides or cruise ships that are clearly stated in the itinerary, hotel porters, drivers, boatmen, coachmen and other service personnel may ask for tips. It is recommended that guests respect local customs and pay accordingly.
12. What precautions should be taken when traveling during Ramadan?
The period from February 17 to March 19, 2026, is expected to be Ramadan in Egypt (specific dates are subject to local announcements). During Ramadan, some tourist attractions may close earlier, restaurants will be less open during the day, tour guides, drivers, and other service personnel will abstain from food and water from sunrise to sunset, and public places such as cruise ships may suspend entertainment activities. If you are concerned about these restrictions, we suggest you carefully consider whether to travel during Ramadan.
13. What are some behavioral guidelines that require special attention when traveling in Egypt?
Egypt is a Muslim country; please respect local religious beliefs, customs, and cultural traditions during your trip. When entering mosques, please observe dress requirements. Drones are prohibited. Do not photograph military or police personnel, airports, or military facilities without permission. Before photographing local residents (especially women and children), please obtain their consent.
14. Do I need to carry my passport with me while traveling?
Please be sure to carry a valid passport with you at all times during the trip. Random checks may be conducted by local police during the trip, and your English-speaking assistant and tour guide may also need to verify your passport information to ensure the smooth running of the tour.
15. If I choose not to include meals or activities in the itinerary, can I get a refund?
No refunds will be given for meals, transfers, or activities included in the itinerary that are cancelled due to personal reasons. Meals typically do not include beverages or alcoholic drinks; please purchase these separately if needed.
