4-Day Chinese-Speaking Small Group Tour of the French Riviera in Southern Italy

In the morning, a Chinese-speaking driver will pick you up at your designated time and location in Rome for a door-to-door transfer. Travel south in a comfortable business van and embark on a journey through the sunshine and ancient civilization of Southern Italy. First, arrive in Naples (Napoli), a city nestled between mountains and the sea, the birthplace of pizza, and one of Italy's most vibrant port cities. Stroll through the city center to admire the exterior of the Sansevero Chapel (closed on Tuesdays), the seaside view of Castel dell'Ovo, and the glass-domed architecture of the Umberto I Galleria, and soak up the rich atmosphere of Southern Italian life.

Next, head to Mount Vesuvius (Mt. Vesuvius), subject to weather and opening conditions. You can pay an additional fee to hike the mountain trails, observe the crater's landscape up close, and overlook the scenery of the Bay of Naples and the coastline from above.

Note: Mount Vesuvius has now canceled its on-site ticket office, and there is no way to buy tickets on-site. If you plan to hike up, please be sure to purchase tickets online in advance. It is virtually impossible to buy tickets upon arrival, and the mobile phone signal near the mountain entrance is weak, making it difficult to spontaneously grab tickets online. You will not be allowed to enter the park without tickets. We recommend that guests purchase tickets in advance on the official website. In the afternoon, head to Pompeii (Pompeii). Stroll through the ancient city ruins, as if stepping into the Roman world of two thousand years ago. The plazas, temples, public baths, and amphitheaters are well-preserved, clearly revealing the ancient city's layout and way of life. In the evening, head to Pompeii or a nearby city to check into your hotel (two consecutive nights are not guaranteed).

Note: If the hotel where you are staying is located within Rome's restricted traffic zone (ZTL zone), vehicles may not be able to drive directly to the hotel for pick-up or drop-off due to local traffic regulations. In such cases, the driver will communicate with you in advance. Please cooperate by moving to the nearest safe pick-up point outside the restricted zone to meet. Thank you for your understanding.

Main restricted areas: Piazza di Spagna (Spanish Steps), Fontana di Trevi (Trevi Fountain), Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, certain alleys around the Colosseum, and along Via del Corso.

Areas where door-to-door pick-up and drop-off are available: around Rome Termini Station, Via Veneto (partially), Piazza della Repubblica, and most hotels in the Grande Raccordo Anulare (GRA) and surrounding areas.

After breakfast, head to Sorrento Port and take a ferry to Capri at your own expense (the journey takes about 40 minutes). Since ancient times, the island has been a vacation destination for Roman emperors and European celebrities, renowned for its crystal-clear waters and elegant villas. Upon arrival, you can take a speedboat to the famous Blue Grotto at your own expense. After the small boat passes through the narrow cave entrance, sunlight refracts to turn the water inside a dreamlike fluorescent blue, earning it the nickname "the sapphire of the Mediterranean."

You can then head to Anacapri and take an open-air single chairlift at your own expense up Mount Solaro, enjoying a 360-degree panoramic view of the Mediterranean and the island.

Note: Important tips for Capri

1. The small group tour fee does not include entrance tickets to paid attractions or the guide's fee for entering the island. If you require the guide to accompany you on the island, the guest must cover the guide's island entry fee;

2. Travel on the island is by foot or public transportation, as vehicles are not allowed on the island. Please be advised;

3. There is no shade while queuing for the Blue Grotto. During the summer, guests should prepare sun protection and stay hydrated to prevent heatstroke.

After breakfast, drive along the Amalfi Coast, renowned as one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world. The winding road hugs the cliffs, offering unforgettable views where the blue sea meets the sky. First, arrive in Positano, where colorful houses are built in tiers along the hillside, creating the most iconic image of the Amalfi Coast. Stroll along the beach and through the narrow alleys, taking in the scenery of the vertical hillside town interwoven with the light and shadows of the Mediterranean. Then head to Amalfi. Once a maritime republic, it is now a charming seaside town where you can view the exterior of the Amalfi Cathedral and the Cloister of Paradise, stroll along the seafront promenade, and enjoy the leisurely atmosphere of southern Italy. Overnight in a town near the Amalfi Coast.

After breakfast, travel to Caserta to visit the magnificent Royal Palace of Caserta. The palace is vast in scale and lavishly decorated, and is considered one of the most spectacular royal palaces in Italy. Stroll along the garden avenues and past waterfalls, experiencing the grandeur of 18th-century royalty.

Afterwards, we will travel to Tivoli, a suburb of Rome, to visit the Villa Este, known as the "Palace of a Thousand Fountains." The gardens feature hundreds of fountains and water features, with the Avenue of a Hundred Fountains, the Elliptical Fountain, and the Dragon Fountain showcasing the high achievements of Renaissance hydraulic engineering and garden art. In the evening, we will return to Rome and drop off guests at their designated location, concluding this 4-day small group tour of Southern Italy, which combines volcanic relics, coastal scenery, and royal gardens.
