Attraction Introduction

Glastonbury Hill, located in Somerset, southwest England, is a freestanding, round hill rising from a plain, topped with the ruins of St. Michael's Tower. The hill holds symbolic significance in both geographical and religious legends, and is often associated with the Arthurian legends. From the summit, one can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and wetlands. It serves as both a natural high-altitude viewpoint and a place steeped in the historical and mythological context of medieval England.

How to Get There

Getting to Glastonbury Hill is usually done by car or chartered vehicle, and it takes about 1 hour to drive there from Bristol or Bath. Parking is available around the town, and from there it's about a 20-30 minute walk uphill. Public transport is limited, so it's recommended to plan your route in advance.

Travel Tips

The summit route is a natural trail, with some steep sections that may be slippery in rainy weather. The wind is strong at the summit, and it can be cool even on sunny days. Wearing suitable outdoor hiking shoes is recommended.
