Attractions
The Great Moor of Rannoch
This 50-square-mile swamp is home to thousands of small lakes, ponds, and streams.
| Glen Coe
The most charming landform in the Scottish Highlands is shrouded in clouds and mist all year round, with wild grass covering the mountains and lakes running through them. The grandeur and vicissitudes of the Highlands are concentrated here.
| Fort William
The mountains and valleys around Fort William are some of the best in the Highlands, attracting a large number of hikers and climbers every year. For example, Ben Nevis and the Great Glen of Nevis, the former is the highest point in the UK (4406 feet above sea level), and the latter is recognizable for its beautiful scenery due to the movies "Brave Heart" and "Rob Roy". In addition, there is skiing nearby at Aonach Mor, which is one of the best ski resorts in Scotland. In Leanachan Forest, it attracts many mountain bike enthusiasts.
| Glenfinnan Viaduct
One of the most famous filming locations in the movie "Harry Potter", the bridge that the Hogwarts train passes through is the Glenfinnan Bridge in the western Highlands of Scotland. The bridge was built between 1897 and 1901 and has a history of more than 100 years. Now it has become one of the must-see attractions for Harry Potter fans.
| Quiraing Mountain Pass
This is a place that any photographer would love to visit, formed by a huge landslide, forming high cliffs, hidden plateaus and rocky peaks. This is why Sky Island is called "Wing Island".
| The Old Man of Storr
It is part of the famous Trotternish ridge on the Isle of Skye. From a distance, you can see a stone pillar standing on the peak. The stone pillar was originally surrounded by rocks, but after centuries of waves, the surrounding rocks have gradually collapsed, leaving only this old man standing alone. Therefore, it is often used as a landmark to guide the ancient navigators.
| Five Sisters of Kintail
Legend has it that a local wizard turned the Five Sisters into these mountains to protect their beauty.
| The Kelpies
300 tons of steel were used to make the world's largest pair of horse sculptures, representing the rapid development of Scottish industry. Kelps is a shape-shifting spirit in Scottish folklore, who often appears by the lake in the form of a horse, abducting and drowning unfortunate travelers.
