Itinerary

Detailed Itinerary

Leave Edinburgh and journey through the historic landscape of Linlithgowshire. Your guide will help you discover Linlithgow Palace, the birthplace of Mary, Queen of Scots.

On your way to Loch Lomond, you'll stop at the Kelpies Monument. The heads of these two horses are a testament to the power that propelled the industrial development of central Scotland.

From here you will reach the shores of Loch Lomond, Scotland's largest bay and its first national park. This is the perfect spot for a walk along the "Bonnie Bank" and stunning mountain views. This tranquil area was once the birthplace of Rob Roy MacGregor, Scotland's famous highland folk hero. Spend time on the lakeside paths and you will follow in the footsteps of one of Scotland's greatest legends.

Then you enter Trossachs National Park, or “Miniature Highlands,” where lowlands meet highlands. Steep mountains, shimmering lakes, and dense forests create a captivating landscape that keeps visitors coming back for more.

You'll stop for lunch in the heart of the national park before continuing to Stirling, where you can visit one of Scotland's most magnificent castles, Stirling Castle. You can choose to enjoy the view from the inside and learn why the castle holds such significance in Scottish history.

From here, our short journey back to Edinburgh passes through Kelps again before returning to the capital.
