Stepping into the Cotswolds is like stepping into a beautiful landscape painting. Farms, gardens, wells, streams, shallows, ponds, barns, pigeon lofts, animals, wildlife, vibrant greenery, cozy cottages—this idyllic scenery is so charming you won't want to look away.
Oxford probably needs no introduction; it boasts world-renowned top universities. Its ancient towns, rich academic atmosphere, charming old buildings, and magnificent cathedral are all captivating. Join this journey and experience two of England's most celebrated places.
Itinerary
Leaving London and heading northwest, we passed through the Chiltburn Hills Natural Beauty District. The picturesque countryside here inspired the television programs Midsomer Murders and Vicar of Dibley.
Your first stop is Oxford, where you'll have time to explore the many colleges or visit the Ashmolean Museum's art and antiquities collection.
After leaving Oxford, you will travel to Bibury. This place was described by William Morris as the most beautiful village in England, and Henry Ford wanted to dismantle it and ship it back to America. Here you can have time to stroll along the famous, fairytale-like Arlington Row.
Afterwards, we will stop in Burford, known as the "Gateway to the Cotswolds." This is a small market town with a great deal of character and depth. The main street is lined with quaint, old-fashioned buildings that you've always dreamed of. Here you will experience the local charm and hospitality, and you can also try a traditional English afternoon tea.
After a full day of exploring Oxford and the Cotswold villages, you'll embark on a comfortable journey back to London.
*In some cases and on Sundays when Oxford College is closed in the morning, the schedule will be in reverse order.

It was hailed as the most beautiful village in England by William Morris, a renowned 19th-century pioneer of handicrafts. The town's terraced houses are Grade I listed buildings and are veritable film killers, considered among the most photogenic rural architecture in Britain, representing the quintessential English countryside landscape.
