Attraction Introduction

The Aletsch Glacier, the longest and largest glacier in the Alps, stretches for approximately 23 kilometers and is a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site. Known for its magnificent glacial landscapes and pristine natural environment, it is one of Switzerland's most breathtaking natural wonders. From the observation deck, layers of glaciers extend into the distance, presenting a majestic and awe-inspiring view.

How to Get There

  • Take a train from Interlaken to Brig or Fiesch (approx. 2 hours), then transfer to a cable car to Eggishorn or Bettmerhorn.
  • For group tours, a shuttle bus usually takes you to the foot of the mountain, where you then transfer to a cable car to ascend.

  • Lower temperatures in high-altitude areas; warm clothing is necessary.
