The Dalton Highway, 414 miles long, is one of Alaska's most remote and challenging roads, listed as one of the "Ten Deadliest Roads in the World." Only vehicles with professional operating licenses are permitted to drive on the Dalton Highway. Taking a professional Arctic bus allows you to admire the pristine Arctic tundra landscape along the way, passing by the Yukon River, North America's third-longest river, and observing the Trans-Alaska Pipeline that traverses mountains from north to south, ultimately reaching the Arctic Circle landmark at 66°33′ North Latitude.

How to Get There

Only vehicles with professional operating licenses are permitted to drive on the Dalton Highway.
You must take a professional arctic bus for the entire journey, with transportation and full accompanying guidance arranged by an authorized tour company.

Travel Tips

⚠️ The Dalton Highway is one of the "Ten Deadliest Roads in the World." Please do not drive on it yourself. The entire journey must be taken on a professional Arctic bus.

• This is a full-day tour. It is recommended to book in advance and wear comfortable, warm clothing and designated gear.

• After reaching the Arctic Circle landmark, you will receive an "Arctic Circle Explorer Certificate," a valuable souvenir of your trip.

• During the transitional seasons, you can experience the midnight sun. In deep winter, you may have the chance to encounter the Northern Lights on your way back.

• You may encounter wild animals such as caribou, Arctic foxes, wolves, bears, and musk oxen along the way. Bringing binoculars is recommended.
