Attraction Introduction

The Roman Baths, located in the heart of Bath, are one of the best-preserved and most representative Roman sites in Britain. Originally built by the ancient Romans as public baths and temple ruins, they developed around natural hot springs. Visitors can follow a designated route to explore the ancient baths, temple ruins, and exhibition spaces, learning about the Roman lifestyle and religious beliefs in Bath. Through the on-site ruins and artifact displays, the Roman Baths offer a direct experience of the city's more than two thousand years of history.

How to Get There

To get to the Roman Baths, take the train from London Paddington to Bath Spa station, and it's about a 10-minute walk from there. Several bus routes also pass nearby. However, due to narrow streets and limited parking in the city center, driving is not recommended. If you're already in Bath, walking is the most convenient option.

Travel Tips

The Roman Baths are a popular tourist attraction, and can get very crowded during peak season and holidays, so buying tickets in advance is recommended. The route is clear, but it's generally a one-way street, so allow plenty of time to explore at your own pace. There are both indoor and outdoor areas, and it can be visited even in unstable weather.
