Attraction Introduction

Annecy is the most beautiful town in the French Alps, known as the "Balcony of the Alps" and the "Venice of Savoie." Lake Annecy, fed by snowmelt from the Alps, is considered one of the cleanest lakes in Europe.

The town is meticulously designed; even in winter, it's lush with greenery and vibrant flowers, a feast for the eyes. One of the most famous landmarks in the old town is the Île de la Paix, a small island in the canal. On the island stands a triangular, boat-shaped stone castle, a representative ancient building of Annecy. Construction began in the 12th century, and despite the passage of time, it remains one of the most photographed buildings in Europe.

  • Approximately 2 hours drive from Lyon.
