How to Get There

1. From Paris

Cahors can be reached from Paris by train. According to SNCF Connect, there are multiple daily trains from Paris to Cahors, with the fastest journey taking approximately 5 hours and 34 minutes, and the average being around 6 hours and 21 minutes. This option is suitable for independent travelers, but for group tours, a same-day round trip from Paris is generally not recommended due to the long travel time.

2. From Toulouse

Traveling to Cahors from Toulouse is more convenient and suitable as a stopover on a route through Southern France or a Spain-Portugal-France itinerary. By tourist bus, the journey typically takes around 1.5 hours, depending on traffic conditions.

3. From Bordeaux

The journey from Bordeaux to Cahors is longer and is suitable for combining with itineraries through Southwestern France, wine regions, or towards Toulouse. By tourist bus, it takes approximately 3 hours or more, depending on the route and traffic conditions.

4. Self-drive / Chartered Car

Cahors is very suitable for inclusion in inter-city routes in Southern France, for example:

Paris / Loire Valley → Cahors → Toulouse
Bordeaux → Cahors → Toulouse
Toulouse → Cahors → Southern France or towards Spain

For group tours, chartering a car for a 2-3 hour stopover offers the most flexibility.
