Monet's Garden, located in Giverny, Normandy, France, was the residence and studio of the Impressionist master Claude Monet in his later years. The garden is divided into two main areas: a vibrant flowerbed garden and a water garden famous for its water lily pond and Japanese-style arched bridge. Monet personally designed the garden's layout, creating layers of variation between flowers, light, and water, which became a significant source of inspiration for his "Water Lilies" series. Today, it is both a pilgrimage site for art lovers and a representative landmark combining nature and artistic beauty.

How to Get There

You can take a train from Paris Saint-Lazare to Vernon–Giverny station, a journey of approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. Upon arrival, you can take a shuttle bus, cycle, or walk for about 30 minutes to reach the gardens. Driving from Paris takes approximately 1.5 hours, and parking is available on-site. The gardens are accessible on foot.

Travel Tips

The garden is open seasonally, with spring and summer flowers being at their most abundant. It gets very crowded during peak season and weekends, so it's recommended to visit in the morning. Outdoor areas are significantly affected by the weather; some paths may be slippery after rain.
