Attraction Introduction

Banff National Park is Canada's first national park and the world's third. In 1984, it was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List as part of the "Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks." The park covers an area of 6,641 square kilometers, encompassing alpine valleys, ice-fed rivers, forests, and grasslands, making it a world-class tourist destination.

Travel Tips

• Entry requires a Parks Canada annual pass or single-use admission ticket.

• Mountain lodges and campsites need to be booked several months in advance, especially during peak season (July-August) when availability is very tight.

• In winter, you can go skiing; in summer, you can hike, cycle, and boat. Each season offers unique experiences.

• The park has abundant wildlife. Please maintain a safe distance when encountering moose, black bears, or grizzly bears.
