Attraction Introduction

Cuenca, located in the Castilla-La Mancha region, is famous for its "hanging houses" perched on the edge of cliffs. The old town is built high in the canyon, in a rugged location. The city blends medieval architecture with the natural canyon landscape. The entire old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a unique representative of mountain towns in the Spanish highlands.

How to Get There

Madrid is about an hour away by high-speed train. The old town is best explored on foot.
