Itinerary
Specific routes
Today is a day full of wonders. Leaving Bristol, your first stop is the prehistoric Stonehenge. This place attracts many people every year; these incredible stones, each weighing about 25 tons, are surrounded by many legends. Perhaps you believe they were created by Merlin, who magically transported them from Ireland. Or you might think Stonehenge is the landing site of an alien spaceship. Perhaps in your mind they are the ruins of a Roman temple. Whatever you believe, everyone will agree that they are a breathtaking and spectacular sight.
Next, you'll head to Avebury. Here, you'll have plenty of free time: have lunch, stroll around, and of course, see the three stone circles. Avebury's stone circles are among the largest in England, large enough to encompass an entire tranquil English village. So you can enjoy a meal while having a drink around the circles.

Your journey continues to the enchanting village of Lacock. You are free to explore during this time. Harry Potter fans will be captivated by the cloisters of Lacock Abbey, which served as the hallways of Hogwarts in the film series. Additionally, visitors can explore the medieval rooms and abbey courtyards before visiting the Fox Talbot Museum to learn about the history of photography.
The final stop of the day is Castle Combe, often referred to as one of the most beautiful villages in England. Fans of films like War Horse and Neil Gaiman's Stardust will likely recognize the place, so get your cameras ready.
Finally, we will return to Bristol from here, which is only a short drive away.
