Spend three days traveling through the landscapes, legends, and landmarks of the Isle of Skye. On your journey north, you'll pass through Scotland's historic heart and learn about battles between the Scots and the English. On the Isle of Skye, you'll stay in the lovely cultural town of Portree and explore the landscape that inspired countless myths and legends. When you return home, you'll understand why this little island deserves its prestigious reputation.
Itinerary
D1: Edinburgh ‣ Stirling Castle (pass by) ‣ Rannoch Marsh ‣ Glencoe ‣ Eilean Donan Castle
You leave Edinburgh and travel west. This section of the scenery is a history lover's dream. You pass Stirling Castle, the Wallace Monument and Doune Castle before stopping for refreshments at Callander. Next we head north through the stunning scenery around Lubnaig Lake to the wild and desolate Rannoch Moor.
You continue through the spectacular Glencoe Pass, the scene of the MacDonald Massacre in 1692. After lunch, we'll pass Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain, before heading to the Great Glen. Heading west, you'll pass the Five Sisters of Kintyre. You'll then stop at the famous Eilean Donan Castle, one of the most photographed castles in Scotland. Crossing the bridge to the Isle of Skye, you'll follow the spectacular coastline to Portree, the island's capital. After all this breathtaking scenery, you'll be dropped off at your accommodation in the early evening, with plenty of time to get out and explore the town.
D2: Sky Island
Today is a flexible day on Skye; your driver-guide will ensure you choose a unique route that suits the weather, local activities and group interests. You can head north to the Trotternish Ridge and beyond. Here you'll find geological wonders such as the Old Man of Storr, Kilt Rock and the stunning Quiraing Pass. Alternatively, your guide might take you back in time and teach you about the legends and tribal culture surrounding Dunvegan Castle, the 13th-century seat of Clan MacLeod. You return from Portree in the evening.
D3: Loch Ness ‣ Blair Castle (passing by) ‣ Edinburgh
You travel south through the Cuillin Mountains before returning to the mainland with stunning views of Loch Dewy and the Five Sisters of Kintyre. Visit Loch Ness for lunch and a chance to spot the 'Nessie'! Travel south along Loch Laggan through the Grampians, now famous as the 'Monarch of the Glen Country', then past Dalwhinnie and on to Blair Castle.
We stopped for refreshments in a Perthshire village before heading back to Edinburgh via Perth and across the Firth of Forth.

This 50-square-mile swamp is home to thousands of small lakes, ponds, and streams.

The most charming landform in the Scottish Highlands is shrouded in clouds and mist all year round, with wild grass covering the mountains and lakes running through them. The grandeur and vicissitudes of the Highlands are concentrated here.
This is a place that any photographer would love to visit, formed by a huge landslide, forming high cliffs, hidden plateaus and rocky peaks. This is why Sky Island is called "Wing Island".
It is part of the famous Trotternish ridge on the Isle of Skye. From a distance, you can see a stone pillar standing on the peak. The stone pillar was originally surrounded by rocks, but after centuries of waves, the surrounding rocks have gradually collapsed, leaving only this old man standing alone. Therefore, it is often used as a landmark to guide the ancient navigators.
Legend has it that a local wizard turned the Five Sisters into these mountains to protect their beauty.
Eilean Donan Castle was first built in the 13th century to defend against Vikings. By the end of the 13th century it had become a fortress for the Mackenzie family. In 1511, the Macrae family inherited the castle. Eilean Donan Castle is Scotland's most photographed monument and a popular wedding venue and film location.

I want to purchase a senior/student ticket. Do I need to bring a valid ID on the day of the tour?
If you purchase a senior or student discount ticket, you will need to bring your ID with you on the day of your tour. Otherwise, you may be denied the discount ticket. -
If I am late, will the bus and guide wait for me?
No. The bus will strictly follow the boarding time. If you are not on time, it will be treated as a "no show" or you will have to rush to the next attraction to meet up with the group. Please be sure to arrive at the departure point 15 minutes in advance and find your group. -
Are there guided tours at the attractions?
Most of the attractions will have a tour guide accompany you into the attractions and provide professional explanations. However, some places such as Windsor Castle specifically prohibit tour guides from entering, so you will need to rent a multilingual audio guide when you enter. -
