Attractions
【Chester】 — The history of Chester can be traced back to 70 AD, when the Roman army that ruled Great Britain chose Chester, surrounded by rivers, as a base to build military fortresses and city walls in order to resist the attacks of the Welsh Celtic tribe. This was the westernmost line of ancient Rome. Therefore, Chester still retains the most complete ancient Roman city wall in the UK. It was built in 120 AD, is nearly 2 miles long, and is also the most representative landmark of the Middle Ages.
【Conwy Castle】 — UNESCO has listed Conwy as a World Cultural Heritage Site because it is the most outstanding representative of European military architecture in the late 13th century and early 14th century. The castle is located at the most important intersection of the Conwy River. It is rectangular in shape and has 8 towers and 2 forts, divided into inner and outer forts. There is also a special path leading to the Conwy River, and supplies are continuously transported into the castle from this path.
✻ The scenic spot is closed on December 24, 25, 26, and January 1. If you travel during non-opening hours, you will see the exterior view.
