Attraction Introduction

Selby Abbey — One of the few well-preserved and large medieval abbeys in England, built in 1069. The main tower is Norman in style, the east side is Gothic, and the front facade blends Gothic, Norman, and Victorian styles. The interior is modeled after Durham Cathedral. Several windows within the church are particularly distinctive and historically significant. For over 900 years, couples have exchanged vows and tied the knot in this church. With organ accompaniment and a choir singing love songs, making promises of love amidst the ringing church bells—is there a more romantic place?

【Howard Castle】 —Built on the site of a former castle, hence the name "Castle," it is actually the Howard family's luxurious estate. Its history dates back to the early 18th century. The diverse architectural styles are harmoniously combined, making Howard Castle a jewel of North York. The repeated Greek carvings and elegant windowsills, meticulously maintained gardens, the graceful Atlantis Fountain, and the romantic rose garden evoke the English aristocratic life depicted by Jane Austen. It has also been a filming location for numerous movies, including Garfield and the famous Harry Potter series. The after-party for Zhou's 2015 wedding was held here, undoubtedly drawn by the beauty of this estate. *Limited to March-October each year.

York – England's most charming medieval Roman city. King George VI once proudly declared, "The history of York is the history of England." Nestled on the banks of the River Ouse, its outstanding architecture and two-thousand-year-old history blend seamlessly. From Roman-era city walls and the famous York Minster to Diagon Alley featured in the Harry Potter films, the fascinating National Railway Museum, and the renowned British afternoon tea room, this rich array of tourist attractions imbues this charming English town with captivating allure.
