Itinerary
specific route
Today is a day full of miracles. Leaving Bristol, your first stop is the prehistoric ruins of Stonehenge. This place attracts many people every year; these incredible stones weigh about 25 tons each and there are many legends surrounding them. Maybe you believe they were created by Merlin, who magically transported them here from Ireland. Or maybe you think Stonehenge is a landing zone for alien spacecraft. Perhaps in your mind they are the ruins of Roman temples. No matter what you believe, everyone will agree that they are breathtakingly spectacular sights.
Next, you'll head to Avebury. Here you will have plenty of free time: have some lunch, walk around and of course check out the three stone circles. The stone circle at Avebury is one of the largest stone circles in the UK, large enough to accommodate an entire quiet English village. So you can enjoy your meal while having a drink around the stone circle.

Your journey continues to the charming village of Lacock. While you're free to move around during this time, Harry Potter fans will be obsessed with seeing the cloisters of Lacock Abbey, which were used as the corridors of Hogwarts in the film series. Additionally, visitors can explore the medieval rooms and monastery grounds before visiting the Fox Talbot Museum to learn about the history of photography.
The final stop of the day is Castle Combe, often called one of the most beautiful villages in England. Fans of movies like War Horse and Neil Gaiman's Stardust may recognize this place, so have your camera ready.
From here we end up back in Bristol, which is only a short drive away.
