Oxford needs no introduction. It is a world-renowned university. The ancient town, the rich academic atmosphere, the ancient buildings and the magnificent cathedral are all so charming. Join this tour and experience two of England's most prestigious places.
Itinerary
Depart London and head northwest through the Chiltern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This picturesque countryside inspired TV shows such as Midsomer Murders and Vicar of Dibley.
Your first stop is Oxford, where you have time to explore the many colleges, or visit the art and antiques collections at the Ashmolean Museum. After Oxford, you'll stop in Burford, the 'Gateway to the Cotswolds'. This is a small market town with huge character and depth. The main street is lined with quaint buildings that you can only dream of. You'll enjoy the local charm and hospitality here, and you can also try a traditional English afternoon tea.
You will then head to Bibury, a place described by William Morris as the prettiest village in England and one Henry Ford wanted to tear down and ship back to America. You will have time to wander the famous fairytale Arlington Row.
After a full day of exploring the city of Oxford and the villages of the Cotswolds, you'll embark on a comfortable journey back to London.

The unique and stunning scenery is printed on the British passport. William Morris, a famous craft pioneer in the 19th century, rated it as the most beautiful village in the UK. The town's terraced houses are Grade I protected buildings in the UK and are veritable film killers. They are considered the most photogenic rural buildings in the UK and the most typical representatives of the classic British rural scenery. Henry Ford even wanted to demolish the town and transport it back to the United States. |
