Detailed Itinerary
It's time to leave the big city and head to the Peak District; a region with wild peaks, rugged moors, and charming old cottages. Your first stop is Eyam, a village that faced unimaginable adversity during the plague outbreak of 1666. Moved by stories of unity and strength, you continue to Bakewell. This town is not only scenic but also the birthplace of Bakewell pudding, one of England's most famous desserts. Now, for a sweeter start, head to Montsall Point. Here, an old railway viaduct stretches from the green hills, creating a unique landscape. It's a magnificent structure with an impressive history.
We've prepared another great destination for you – Castleton. This quaint old town attracts visitors from all over the world with its traditional English charm. You can stroll through the streets, admire the views of the valley, and learn about its history at the information center. You also have the option to visit the hilltop cave. This cave has an outrageous nickname – the largest natural entrance – and was once a hideout for bandits, now sometimes used as a concert venue.
After a day of delicious food, spectacular views, and touching history, you will return to Manchester, arriving in the evening.
