Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Reykjavik ‣ Golden Circle ‣ Tomato Farm ‣ Vik
In the morning, we will meet at the parking lot of Harpa Concert Hall in Reykjavik and depart for Iceland's classic Golden Circle route, connecting Thingvellir National Park, Geysir, and Gullfoss waterfall—three iconic landmarks. Afterwards, we will visit the Friðheimar Tomato Farm to tour its geothermal greenhouses and have the opportunity to see the adorable Icelandic horses up close. In the evening, we will arrive in Vik or a nearby town for overnight accommodation.
The Golden Circle — the most classic scenic route in southwestern Iceland, featuring three major attractions that are close to each other but have distinct features: Thingvellir National Park is a World Heritage Site and the site of the ancient parliament; Geysir Geyser Basin erupts spectacularly; and Gullfoss Waterfall cascades down in two tiers, creating a magnificent mist that often results in rainbows on sunny days.
【Tomato Farm】 — Located on the Golden Circle, Friðheimar is Iceland's most unique tomato farm, offering a distinctive lunch experience in its greenhouse. You can sit back and enjoy a tomato soup feast with freshly baked bread and cucumber salsa. Visitors can also purchase a variety of delicious farm specialties, such as tomato jam, cucumber salsa, and tomato drinks. Next time you're in this land of ice and fire, don't forget to visit Friðheimar!
Day 2: Vik ‣ Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon ‣ Diamond Beach ‣ Blue Ice Cave/Glacier Lagoon Boat Trip ‣ Vik
After breakfast, we will travel to Iceland's most famous glacial lagoon area to visit the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach. On a clear day, the sunlight reflecting off the ice on the beach creates a dazzling spectacle, like sparkling diamonds. Depending on the season and weather, an optional excursion to the Blue Ice Caves is available (November to April); from May to October, a glacial lagoon cruise is offered instead. That evening, we will return to a hotel in or around Vik for overnight stay.
【Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon & Diamond Beach】 — Huge icebergs float on the glacier lagoon and are then washed ashore on the black sand beach. The crystal-clear ice blocks shimmer in the sunlight, creating a striking contrast with the black sand, making it one of Iceland's most iconic "ice and sea" wonders.
【Blue Ice Cave Adventure】*Optional Excursion – A natural wonder visible only in winter beneath the Vatnajökull Glacier. The ice cave, sculpted by glaciers and meltwater, changes shape and texture with the seasons, its icy blue hue resembling crystal. Safe access is only available from November to April of the following year; actual access depends on safety and weather conditions on the day.
*The Blue Ice Cave exploration tour requires secondary confirmation of location and is only available for tours held between November and April of the following year.
Day 3: Vik ‣ South Bank Scenery ‣ Reykjavik
After breakfast at the hotel, the tour departs, passing through the Eldhraun Lava Field (formed by lava flows from a volcanic eruption) and the town of Vik (with a distant view of the red-roofed chapel). Afterwards, it proceeds to the iconic Reykjavik black sand beach. Depending on time and weather conditions, a visit to the DC-3 aircraft wreckage is available at an optional cost. Next, the tour heads to the two major waterfalls of the south coast, Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss, experiencing the magnificent yet gentle scenery from different perspectives. The tour concludes in the evening, returning to Reykjavik.
Reynisfjara Beach — A black sand beach formed by the weathering of volcanic rock, paired with spectacular basalt columns and sea stacks. The stark contrast between the black sand and the white waves creates a breathtaking landscape. Please be aware of the risk of sneaker waves and always follow the on-site safety instructions.
【DC-3 Aircraft Wreck】*Optional Excursion —Located on the barren south coast, the fuselage left behind after an emergency landing, against the backdrop of black volcanic sands, creates a visually striking scene. The weathered wreckage presents a desolate beauty and is one of Iceland's most recognizable non-natural landmarks.
【Seljalandsfoss】 —The waterfall cascades down from the ancient sea cliffs. When weather and trail conditions permit, you can walk around behind the waterfall to experience the unique view from the "back view of the waterfall," which is one of the most classic photo spots on the south shore.
Note: Actual arrival time may be adjusted due to force majeure events such as weather, traffic jams, traffic accidents, festivals, events, riots, and strikes. If you have subsequent transportation arrangements on the same day, it is strongly recommended to allow at least 3 hours of additional time. Our company will not be responsible for any losses incurred due to insufficient time in making your own travel arrangements. Thank you for your understanding.
