Itinerary

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Helsinki → Tallinn

After meeting at the Helsinki port at 9:30 AM, we will board a cruise ship to Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. You can also wait for the group to arrive in Tallinn. Tallinn is one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Europe, boasting striking towers and cannons, historic fortified walls, and beautiful and magnificent Gothic architecture. We will visit the City Hall Square, Tombélé Castle, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the Estonian Gate, and St. Nicholas Church. Overnight in Tallinn or the surrounding area.

Meeting point 1: Helsinki West Terminal 2 (Tyynenmerenkatu 14, 00220 Helsinki, Finland)
Group order start time: 09:30

Pick-up location 2: Tallinn pier, Tallinn, Estonia. Pick-up time: 12:30.

【Tallinn Old Town】 - The Heidal Wooden Church, a three-story wooden structure built in the early 13th century, is the largest wooden church in Norway. It is not only a masterpiece of medieval architecture but is also still used by the Notodden district church in Telemark County. The walls of the outer passageway are inscribed with Old Germanic script, indicating that the church was built in honor of the Virgin Mary.

Day 2: Tallinn → Parnu → Cecsis → Sigurd

After breakfast, we will travel to Parnu, the summer capital of Estonia. Parnu is a famous summer resort in Estonia, boasting some of the most beautiful beaches on the Baltic Sea. After visiting the Old Town, the Red Tower, and the Elizabeth Church, we will begin our beach tour of Parnu, experiencing some of the most beautiful beaches in Northern Europe. Next, we will travel to Cesis, one of the most beautiful old towns in Latvia, to visit Cesis Castle and stroll through the Old Town. After the tour, we will check into our hotel in Sigurd.

【Parnou】 - Estonia's Summer Capital. From Palmou, Estonia's summer capital, one can enjoy panoramic views of the enchanting Palmou Bay, with its warm waters and soft sandy beaches, making it a true holiday paradise. As Estonia's fourth largest city, Palmou boasts beautiful parks, tranquil tree-lined avenues, warm and inviting beaches, and a variety of recreational facilities. Palmou's spa hotels offer guests comprehensive wellness services, such as mud therapy, various massages, thermal baths, laser therapy, and wax therapy.

Day 3: Sigurdah → Vilnius

After breakfast, depart from the hotel for Bergen, a port city on the west coast. The city is situated on a turquoise bay, directly connected to the Atlantic Ocean, making it a scenic harbor city. The Fløy Cableway in eastern Bergen can take you to the summit of Fløyen Mountain (320 meters above sea level) in five to eight minutes, providing a thrilling experience. Afterwards, visit the precious ruins of Nordic wooden architecture in the Old Town of Bryggen, and finally, stop at the bustling Seaside Fish Market built along the bay. Overnight in Bergen or a nearby hotel.

Vilnius Cathedral - Vilnius Cathedral sits at the foot of Gediminas Hill in a spacious cathedral square, its 57-meter-high bell tower occupying a prominent position. Built between 1387 and 1388, it was the first Gothic wooden cathedral and has undergone numerous restorations. The St. Casimir Chapel inside is in the Baroque style and contains frescoes depicting the life of this Lithuanian saint and his silver coffin.

Day 4: Vilnius → Trakai → Kaunas

After breakfast, drive to Trakai, the former capital of Lithuania, home to Trakai Castle, the only castle in Eastern Europe built on an island. Located on an island in Lake Galva, Trakai Castle was built in 1409 and is the only surviving ancient castle in Lithuania. After lunch, travel to Kaunas, Lithuania's second-largest city, to explore the city and visit Kaunas Castle and the Cathedral of the Resurrection. Overnight in a hotel in or around Kaunas.

【Trakai Castle】 - The most famous attraction in the small Lithuanian town of Trakai. Built in 1409, it is the only castle on water in the Baltic region. Constructed of orange-red bricks, it is surrounded by conical-topped watchtowers in the style of medieval knights, and is also surrounded by a moat. The castle, standing on the water at sunset, presents a dreamlike beauty.

Day 5: Kaunas → Šiaulie → Lundal Palace → Riga

After breakfast, drive to Lendal, passing the Šiaulie Cross Hill, where you can experience the solemn atmosphere of hundreds of thousands of crosses of all sizes standing majestically. Next, visit Lendal Palace, the largest and most magnificent palace in the Baltic region. Known as "Little Versailles" or "Little Winter Palace," Lendal Palace is another exquisite work by the architect of the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg. It was built as a summer palace for the Grand Duke of Courland and is a prime example of Baroque and Rococo architecture in Latvia, truly a jewel of the region. Afterwards, proceed to Riga, the capital of Latvia, for overnight accommodation.

【Hill of Crosses】 - Lithuania's most breathtaking and awe-inspiring sight is the Hill of Crosses (Siauliai Hill of Crosses), two camel-hump-like hills covered with thousands of crosses. Each cross represents an indomitable spirit, a noble soul, and the silent struggle of the nation. People have been placing crosses here since the 14th century, some for prayer, others for remembrance.

D6: Riga

After breakfast, visit Riga, the largest city in the Baltic states, often referred to as the "Little Paris of the East." Stroll through the old city and visit ancient medieval buildings such as St. Peter's Cathedral, the House of the Three Brothers, and the Dome Cathedral.

Drop-off point: Riga attractions
Group tour ends at 14:00

The House of the Three Brothers – Located behind Cathedral Square, the House of the Three Brothers is a prime example of the diverse architectural styles found in Riga's Old Town. These three buildings represent different periods of medieval architecture in Riga and are the best-preserved stone buildings in the city. They showcase how the people of Riga utilized limited land, and the name "House of the Three Brothers" echoes the Three Sisters House in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. It is now open to the public as the Riga Art Museum.

Day 7: Riga → Tallinn → Helsinki

In the morning, we will travel to Tallinn and take a cruise back to Helsinki, concluding our trip.

Drop-off point 1: Tallinn pier. Drop-off time: 15:30
