Itinerary

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Oslo → Heidal → Stavanger

We will depart from the Oslo Opera House in the city center at 8:30 AM (8:00 AM departure from the hotel) and head to Stavanger. En route, we will pass through Heidal and visit the Heidal Stable Church, Norway's largest wooden church. It is not only a masterpiece of medieval architecture but is also still used by the Notodden district church in Telemark. We will continue to Stavanger, enjoying the beautiful scenery of Hardanger Plateau, Norway's largest national park, along the way. Overnight in Stavanger or a nearby hotel.

【Hydal Wooden Stud Church】 - The Heydal Wooden Stud Church is a three-story wooden building constructed in the early 13th century. It is the largest wooden stud church in Norway and is not only a masterpiece of medieval architecture but is also still used by the Notodden district church in Telemark. The walls of the outer passageway are inscribed with Old Germanic script, indicating that the church was built in honor of the Virgin Mary.

Day 2: Stavanger → Lysefjord → Stavanger

After breakfast, depart from Stavanger for Lysefjord, and climb Pulpit Rock, a filming location for Tom Cruise's "Mission: Impossible 6," to enjoy the magnificent scenery of Lysefjord. First, take a ferry to Tau, then a bus to the foot of the mountain for a hike. Visit Pulpit Rock, formed by the melting of frost thousands of years ago (round trip takes approximately 7-8 hours; if you don't want to visit Pulpit Rock, you can choose to spend a day at your leisure in Stavanger). Overnight in Stavanger or a nearby hotel.

【Pulpit Rock】 - Also known as the Serpentine Hill, it gets its name from its resemblance to a church pulpit. Located in the middle of Lysefjord, Pulpit Rock is a giant, naturally formed rock platform with a vertical drop of 604 meters from its top to the fjord below. Protruding more than 30 meters from the adjacent ridge, it stands abruptly and spectacularly amidst the towering mountains deep within the fjord. The rock's surface area is approximately 600 square meters. The hiking trail to Pulpit Rock is 3.8 kilometers long, with an uphill section of about 330 meters from the starting point. Red "T" markers are placed along the way. The round trip from the starting point takes approximately 4-5 hours and is of moderate difficulty. Ranked number one among the 50 most magnificent sights in the world by CNN's travel and lifestyle website, Pulpit Rock is also one of the best places to overlook Lysefjord and appreciate its beauty.

Lysefjord - Located in southern Norway, Lysefjord stretches for 42 kilometers. Its entrance is at Stavanger on Norway's west coast. The river meanders between towering cliffs and majestic mountains. The banks are lined with towering boulders, among which the 600-meter-high cliff of Breikäström is a must-see.

D3: Stavanger → Bergen

After breakfast, depart from the hotel for Bergen, a port city on the west coast. The city is situated on a turquoise bay, directly connected to the Atlantic Ocean, making it a scenic harbor city. The Fløy Cableway in eastern Bergen can take you to the summit of Fløyen Mountain (320 meters above sea level) in five to eight minutes, providing a thrilling experience. Afterwards, visit the precious ruins of Nordic wooden architecture in the Old Town of Bryggen, and finally, stop at the bustling Seaside Fish Market built along the bay. Overnight in Bergen or a nearby hotel.

【Floys Cableway】 - The Floyd Cableway is a cable car that takes you to the summit of Mount Floyd, taking you to the top in 5-8 minutes and providing a thrilling ride. Mount Floyd is located in eastern Bergen. From the summit, you can enjoy panoramic views of Bergen, including the harbor, fjords, the neat rows of wooden houses, and the surrounding mountains.

Bergen – Norway's second-largest city and the largest and most beautiful port city on the west coast, nestled along the steep fjord line of the Norwegian west coast. Nestled beside the harbor and seven mountains, the city borders Byfjord, which opens directly to the Atlantic Ocean, making it a picturesque harbor city. Due to the warm winds brought by the Gulf Stream, Bergen is a rainy region. In 2000, Bergen was selected as one of nine European Cities of Culture. Its charm is showcased in theaters, dance, music, art, food, and exhibitions. The main tourist areas in Bergen are near the harbor; the north retains many ancient buildings from the medieval Hanseatic League era, while the south features modern shopping streets.

Day 4: Bergen → Gudvangen → Flåm → Fjord Town

After breakfast, depart for Gudvangen to visit the highlight of the day: Sognefjorden, Norway's longest and deepest fjord. One of its branches, Nærøyfjord, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and National Geographic previously named it "the world's best unspoiled travel destination." Gudvangen is located at the starting point of Nærøyfjord. Take a boat trip through Aurlandsfjord to Sognefjord and Flåm. On the boat, you'll enjoy many stunning views, including waterfalls and idyllic villages. In Flåm, take the beautiful Flåm-Mydal train line, enjoying panoramic views of Norway's most rugged and magnificent mountain scenery. Overnight in a fjord town hotel.

* During peak season, it is recommended to purchase tickets for the Flam train in advance, as tickets purchased through online tours are not guaranteed to be available.

Sognefjord - Sognefjord is Norway's largest fjord and also the longest and deepest fjord in the world, stretching 204 kilometers in length and reaching a depth of 1308 meters. It is the most easily accessible of the four major fjords and has been ranked number one among the world's best-preserved and most worthwhile tourist destinations by National Geographic and Travel magazine. While glaciers are not visible in summer, waterfalls, tranquil lakes, and towering cliffs still offer breathtaking scenery.

The Flåm Railway – one of the world's most beautiful and steepest mountain railways, descends 20 kilometers from an altitude of 865 meters to the depths of the Aurlandsfjord in Flåm. 80% of the railway is built on a 55% gradient. Completed over 20 years, it is considered one of Norway's greatest engineering marvels.

Day 5: Fjord Town → Fierlan (Bojabulin Glacier + Glacier Museum) → Ålesund → Fjord Town

After breakfast, we will visit the Boyabrin Glacier, a branch of the Jostedalsbreen Glacier, the largest glacier on the European continent, which hangs on steep mountain walls. Its highest point is 1700 meters above sea level, with a 1400-meter drop between its highest and lowest points. The year-round frozen snow on the high mountains, under the pressure of gravity, has formed a geological landscape of blue crystalline ice resembling rivers. Afterwards, we will visit the nearby Glacier Museum, considered a model of architects utilizing the landscape rather than relying on external objects. The highly acclaimed building itself has won several awards, including the ACHouens Fund Gold Medal, Norway's highest architectural award. The museum is entirely gray, and its design fully considers topography, landforms, and seasonal factors, such as the Nordic light, gray stone, and lush forests, harmonizing reality and fantasy to create a classic work of art. Afterwards, we will travel to Ålesund, located on three islands in Møre-Romsdal county, Norway, at the entrance to the Geirangerfjord. We will then visit the seaside town of Ålesund and spend the night in a hotel in the fjord town.

【Ålesund】 - From north to south, one after another, endless winding fjords and countless glacial relics create the magnificent Norwegian fjord landscape. Ålesund, nestled in the embrace of these fjords, is one of the most beautiful little towns. Characteristic Art Nouveau architecture, the natural landscape surrounded by fjords, and the rolling mountains of the Sunmøre region—these are the hallmarks of Ålesund.

【Boyabrin Glacier】 - The Boyabrin Glacier is a branch of the Yosdabrian Glacier. It hangs on a steep mountain wall, with the highest point at an altitude of 1,700 meters and a drop of 1,400 meters between the highest and lowest points. The glacier slowly flows from an altitude of 1,700 meters to an altitude of 300 meters. This huge drop causes ice avalanches of different sizes to occur frequently.

Day 6: Fjord Town → Atlantic Highway → The Path of the Spirits → Eagles' Path → Lorme

After breakfast, depart for a tour of Norway's famous scenic roads: the Atlantic Ocean Road, the Trollstigen (Trollstigen), and the Eagle Road. The Atlantic Ocean Road, a landmark of Norway, is 36 kilometers long and runs from Kårvåg to Bud. It boasts stunning scenery and has been rated by the UK's *Guardian* as one of the world's best coastal scenic roads. The Trollstigen and Eagle Road are two distinct sections of Route 63 on Norway's west coast. The Trollstigen is a scenic road traversing some of the world's most winding fjords and is considered one of the 12 most dangerous roads in the world. The Eagle Road is close to Geirangerfjord, and its viewpoint at the top offers panoramic views of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Afterwards, check into your hotel in Løm.

***The Elf Road and Eagle Road will be closed for winter, and are expected to remain closed until the end of May. The routes will not pass through these areas. We apologize for any inconvenience.

【Trosti Road (Trollsti Road)】 - Located in southwestern Norway, its name in Norwegian means "rotating ladder." It connects Åndalsnes in Rauma and Vardal in Nudar. This road has 11 hairpin bends, rises 2,800 feet (approximately 853 meters) above sea level, and has an average gradient of 9%. The highest section of Norway's Route 63 on the Trosti Plateau is known as the "Trollsti Road" because of the numerous rocks along the way.

The Atlantic Road – a landmark of Norway, stretches 36 kilometers from Kårvåg to Bud. In 2011, it was named one of the world's best road trip destinations by The Guardian. Beyond its ingenious engineering, the Atlantic Road offers breathtaking scenery, allowing travelers to fully appreciate the beauty of the Atlantic Ocean's natural landscape and ecosystem.

D7: Lom → Lillehammer → Oslo

After breakfast, we will travel to Lillehammer, a popular summer and winter sports destination in Norway, and visit the Mehgen Open-Air Museum, the largest open-air museum in Northern Europe, which is like a time machine. Here, you can embark on a nostalgic journey. This museum, ranked as Norway's largest open-air museum, features over 200 houses dating from the 12th century to the present day. The distinctive village architecture and wooden churches are well-preserved, showcasing the complete look of a Norwegian old town. After the tour, we will proceed directly to Oslo Airport, arriving around 3 PM.
