Itinerary information

Specific itinerary

D1: Bristol ‣ Exmoor National Park ‣ Dunster ‣ Tintagel Castle ‣ Falmouth

Departing Bristol early in the morning, you begin your journey to South West England. You'll pass through lovely villages and through Exmoor National Park, a beautiful mix of moorland, forest, coast and rivers. We will stop in Dunster, we think you will love this medieval village. The village is dominated by its Norman castle, which you can admire during a stroll through the village.

After lunch, you will visit the stunning ruins of Tintagel Castle. This historic 13th-century castle sits on a clifftop in northern Cornwall and is believed to be the birthplace of King Arthur. If you like steep cliffs and breathtaking views, this spot is for you. Walking up to the castle might give you a stomach ache, but we assure you it's all worth it for the views, photos, and history. You'll have plenty of time to explore this wonderful place and learn about its connection to Arthurian legend.

We then left Tintagel and headed to the seaside city of Falmouth, which would be our overnight base for the next two nights.

D2: Falmouth ‣ St. Ives ‣ Land's End ‣ Minack Theater ‣ Marazahn (St. Michael's Mount) ‣ Falmouth

Start your day with a visit to one of Cornwall's most popular destinations: the fishing village of St Ives. Take a stroll through this peaceful port town and connect your heart with the seaside residents. If cobbled streets, cottages and sandy beaches are your thing, you'll love St Ives.

Your next destination is what we think is a must-see - Land's End is a legendary place that has been inspiring people since ancient Greek times, when it was known as "Bellerion", or "Bellerion" Land of the Sun”. If you're looking for an epic viewpoint for perfect photos, this is it.

You'll then have lunch at what is probably one of the strangest dining spots: an amphitheater perched on a rugged cliff. Yes, we're talking about the incredible Minack Theatre. (*Please note that due to limited supply, we may not be able to visit this theater and arrangements will be made on the day based on actual conditions.)

The last stop of the day is in Marazion where you will have the opportunity to photograph the stunning St Michael's Mount. This rocky island, home to a medieval church and castle, is Britain's own Mont Saint Michel. You return to Falmouth tonight for a great meal and a day of memories.

*Please note that the Minack Theater is currently closed on Mondays and Tuesdays during the winter (it will reopen 7 days a week around Easter), and tour groups departing during this period will not be able to visit this attraction.

D3 : Falmouth‣Tavistock‣Dartmoor National Park‣Exeter

We'll be flexible this morning and may visit some Cornish places as we head north: maybe you'll see a waterfall. Maybe a stone circle. You then arrive at Tavistock, an ancient tin mining area and town. You have free time to explore Devon's only town with World Heritage status. It’s often said that the stunning mining landscape of west Devon and Cornwall begins at Tavistock, the ‘Eastern Gate’ of this World Heritage region and the home of cream tea. There's plenty to see here, and you can arrange your own lunch and time to explore.

Your journey continues east into Dartmoor National Park, a rugged landscape full of forests, rivers, wetlands and isolated peaks. You'll stop at Widecombe-in-the-Moor, a picturesque village in the Dartmoor mountains, where the folk song "Widecombe Fair" has been immortalized. They hold an annual celebration of the song and the story it tells of Tom Pearce and his horse's death at the famous fair.

You continue your adventure in Dartmoor National Park, visiting the Hightower Rock granite before heading to Exeter for the night.

D4: Exeter ‣ Durdle Door ‣ Luworth Bay ‣ Shaftesbury ‣ Stonehenge ‣ Bristol

The last day of your trip was also quite exciting! For those who love the seaside, you'll love today's tour of one of Dorset's most photographed landmarks, Durdle Door, and its unique views of Lulworth Cove.

Then you will travel to Shaftesbury, a typical old English market town. It also has a fascinating history dating back to Saxon times.

The final stop of the day is the iconic and mind-bending Stonehenge. It has been around for about 5,000 years and people are still curious about it to this day. There are many legends about these boulders and how they were formed. Some believe aliens are involved, while others imagine people like the wizard Merlin had something to do with it. No matter what you believe, you are sure to be in awe! Your southern adventure ends in Bristol that evening.

  • If I'm late, can the bus and tour guide wait for me?

Can't. The bus will strictly abide by the boarding time. If you do not board the group on time, it will be treated as a "no show" or you will rush to the next attraction to meet the group on your own. Please be sure to arrive at the departure point 15 minutes early and find your group.

Tour guides at most attractions will accompany you into the attractions and provide professional explanations. If some attractions specifically stipulate that tour guides are not allowed to enter, you will need to rent a multi-language audio guide inside.
