But on this trip, you will have the opportunity to see all of these.
You explore stunning landscapes, sip whisky from historic distilleries, and traverse rugged hillsides and fertile valleys.
You will find all the conflicts and battles, all the subtleties and majesties, and all the heartache and legends.
Crossing the borders between England and Ireland, traversing the entire Emerald Isle, and experiencing the unforgettable, breathtaking beauty of the wild Atlantic Ocean, you won't want to miss the Celtic cultural heritage. Leaving bustling Belfast, you'll traverse the stunning scenery of the Antrim Coast and Glens, an officially recognized area of outstanding natural beauty.
From Balicasr, following the winding road, you'll enter the stunning Giant's Causeway, a spectacular collision of history and myth with raw geological forces. Leaving the Giant's Causeway behind, you'll head to Potrash, a charming fishing village and your home for the night.
the next day
You will travel to Delhi, a legendary 17th-century walled city with seven magnificent gates. Designated the British City of Culture in 2013, Delhi offers ample time to explore its museums, galleries, and top-notch markets.
From here, head to Donegal County, home to stunning scenery and a rich Gaelic tradition. Then, you'll travel to the picturesque Glenview National Park, passing through the towering Erigal peaks and the region's traditional fishing villages. Along the way, you'll have ample time for walks, photography, and immersing yourself in the local culture before arriving at your overnight stay in Donegal.
Day 3
In the morning, you drive south along the coast near Donegal, entering Sligo County. This area is home to the grave of the famous poet W.B. Yeats and offers stunning views of Benbourben Hill.
Outside Sligo lies Carlomore, where you have the opportunity to visit Ireland’s largest megalithic burial grounds, some of which date back more than 6,000 years.
Heading west, you'll enter Mayo County, ravaged by the potato famine. The winding roads wind through picturesque farmland, marshes, and open wilderness, offering views of distant hills and the Atlantic coast, where you'll visit the spectacular Island of Aguirre. Here, you'll have time to savor the rugged sea and tranquil beauty. From here, a short drive will take you to Westport – your base for the next two nights.
Day 4
Westport and Connemara National Parks are the areas you'll explore today. Today's itinerary is flexible, and your guide will ensure you choose the route best suited to the weather.
Your selection includes the beautiful houses and grounds of Kelmore Abbey, Connemara National Park, Clifton (where the first transatlantic flight landed), Skyway, and Connemara Twelve Hills.
After a day of incredible exploration, you'll return to Westport, where you can enjoy delicious local seafood at one of the town's best restaurants.
