In the afternoon, we'll arrive in Zagreb—a city with a tradition of resisting invaders, having endured the ravages of war, yet its architecture remains remarkably well-preserved. The old town is filled with beautiful Gothic buildings, their designs exquisitely crafted. Combined with Mediterranean cuisine, local wines, and the warm hospitality of the optimistic Croatians, it's a truly unforgettable experience. Day 2 (Friday): Zagreb → Plitvice Lakes National Park → Zadar (275 km)

Led by a guide, you'll enter Plitvice Lakes National Park, known as the "European Jiuzhaigou," a group of sixteen lakes connected by mountain trails. Nestled amidst dense mountains, countless layers of travertine terraces form natural dams, creating lakes of fairytale beauty. The lake water possesses a unique color, and the surfaces of the submerged trees are covered in bronze-like deposits, smooth, lovely, and seemingly immortal, forming a rare underwater jade tree spectacle. Surrounded by lush meadows, rushing streams and waterfalls, and crystal-clear lakes, it's truly a paradise on earth. Along the lakeside trails, the sound of clear water and waterfalls accompanies you, allowing your soul to fully experience the tranquil atmosphere far removed from the hustle and bustle of the world.

The ancient city of Zadar, steeped in religious atmosphere, still retains many narrow streets and buildings in the medieval style, allowing you to feel as if you've traveled back in time. In recent years, the "Adriatic Organ" and the "Solar-Powered World Region Display Lights," popular with tourists, have been added next to the pier. Next, head to Split, Croatia's second-largest city, a city brimming with the grandeur of the ancient Roman Empire. If calculated from the construction of Diocletian's Palace (founded in 305 AD), it boasts a history of over 1700 years. Then, visit "King's Landing," surrounded by sapphire-blue waters, to experience the magical charm of this ancient city, both on and off screen.

    Attraction Introduction

    Budapest

Budapest is the capital of Hungary and the country's main political, commercial, transportation, and economic center, as well as its largest city. A famous ancient city in Europe, Budapest is located in the north-central part of the country, situated on both banks of the middle reaches of the Danube River. Originally two cities facing each other, they expanded over the centuries and were formed in 1873 by the merger of Buda and Óbuda on the right (west) bank of the Danube, and Pest on the left (east) bank. Before this, it was not called Budapest; it was generally referred to as Pest-Buda.

    Plitvice Lakes National Park

Located in central Croatia, just 10 km from Bihac, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the core protected area of the heritage site has expanded to 192 km² through an expanded application. The upper reaches of the Corana River flow through a limestone landscape, where millennia of erosion and deposition have created numerous travertine embankments; the development of these natural embankments has in turn given rise to a series of lakes, caves, and waterfalls, shaping a magnificent natural landscape. This remarkable geological process continues to this day. The park's forests are home to wild bears, wolves, and numerous rare bird species.

    Split

Split, a port city in southern Croatia located on the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea, is the largest seaport in the Dalmatian region and a historic city, resort, and tourist destination. Split's urban architecture developed around the summer palace of the Roman Emperor Diocletian. In 1979, Diocletian's Palace, the center of Split's old town, was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Split also boasts numerous museums and art galleries with a wealth of valuable collections.

    Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik, a port city in southeastern Croatia, is located on a limestone peninsula on the southern coast of Dalmatia. With its stunning scenery and pleasant climate, it is one of Croatia's most famous tourist destinations and a renowned health resort. Dubrovnik boasts numerous historical sites, with ancient buildings showcasing Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque styles. At the same time, its numerous islands, lush forests, clear waters, abundant sunshine, and picturesque coastline make it a sought-after destination. As George Bernard Shaw famously said, "If you want to see what paradise is like, go to Dubrovnik!"

    | Stone City Počitelj

Pocitelj, also known as the Stone City, is a small Ottoman town built during the Middle Ages. The town boasts well-developed defensive towers, which also serve as its highest points. Climbing these towers offers panoramic views, showcasing the town's seamless integration with its surroundings. Autumn is pomegranate season, and the town is filled with pomegranate trees that laden with bright red fruit, a truly beautiful sight. Pomegranate juice has thus become one of the local specialties.

    Sarajevo

Sarajevo is the capital and economic and cultural center of Bosnia and Herzegovina. After World War II, it served as the capital of the Socialist Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina within the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. Located near the upper reaches of the Bosna River, a tributary of the Sava River, it is a picturesque ancient city surrounded by mountains. Its population was 375,000 in 1981, or 449,000 including the suburbs. Founded in 1263, it was here on June 28, 1914, when Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria-Hungary was assassinated by Serbian nationalists, an event that ignited World War I. It is a major land transportation hub. Industries include power equipment manufacturing, automobile manufacturing, metal processing, chemicals, textiles, ceramics, and food processing.
The old city center is famous for its oriental-style copper and silver handicrafts. It houses universities, academies, museums, and other institutions. The city center preserves old buildings from the Turkish era. The suburbs include the resorts of Pale and Iliza.
