Detailed Itinerary
You will leave bustling Manchester and head straight for the beautiful and tranquil Lake District.
The first stop of the day is Bones on the Windermere coast. You'll have time to stroll leisurely along the lake and admire the stunning views, or wander through the town's various unique shops.
Leaving Bones, head south towards Coniston Water in Windermere. You'll travel north along narrow country roads to Grasmere, described by Wordsworth as "the most beautiful place ever found by mankind." Visit Wordsworth's Pigeon House, sample the legendary gingerbread, or enjoy the tranquility of Wordsworth's daffodil gardens along the River Rossi.
The final stop was the picturesque protected village of Hawkeshead, where the famous poet William Wordsworth once attended grammar school.
