Embark on a journey through the civilizations of north-central Spain, starting in Madrid. First, arrive in Ávila, a UNESCO World Heritage city. This medieval fortress, known as the "City of Walls," is renowned for its well-preserved ancient walls. The walls, encircling the entire city, stand majestically, with towers and gates connected in a series, their stone gleaming with an ancient sheen in the sunlight. Stroll through the city, where you can admire the unique structure of Ávila Cathedral, seamlessly integrated with the city walls, or overlook the magnificent silhouette of the entire ancient city from the Four Pillars.

Afterwards, travel to Salamanca, a city known as "the city that tells stories." Golden sandstone gleams in the sunset, and home to one of Spain's oldest universities: the University of Salamanca. Wander through the cobblestone streets of the old town, approach the magnificent complex where the old and new cathedrals are connected, and feel the weight and elegance of this millennia-old academic sanctuary amidst the squares and arcades. Overnight in Salamanca or a nearby city.

Today, we continue our journey deeper into the heartland of Castile. In the morning, we head to the historic city of Valladolid, a city that briefly served as the capital of the Spanish Kingdom, bearing witness to the glory of the imperial era. Stroll through the old town squares and churches, and experience the regal atmosphere and cultural heritage of the Renaissance.

In the afternoon, we arrive at a significant stop on the Camino de Santiago – Burgos. This city is famous worldwide for its magnificent Burgos Cathedral. Step inside to admire this Gothic masterpiece, a World Heritage site, with its spires reaching towards the sky and stained-glass windows shimmering in the light, both majestic and opulent. Wander through the old town squares and archways, and experience the grandeur of a medieval kingdom in streets where history and everyday life intertwine. Overnight in Burgos or a nearby city.

This city perfectly blends industrial memory with modern art; from its ancient streets to its avant-garde architecture, every step reveals the charm of interwoven time. A highlight is the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, designed by Frank Gehry. Its titanium curved surfaces gleam in the sunlight, a masterpiece of deconstructivist architecture and considered a symbol of the "Bilbao effect." Stroll through the old town, experiencing the Basque cuisine and lifestyle. Return to Burgos for rest in the evening.

In the early morning, travel to Segovia, a UNESCO World Heritage city. The city's most breathtaking landmark is the Roman Aqueduct of Segovia, a magnificent archway built of massive stones that spans two thousand years. From afar, admire the Segovia Cathedral, known as the "Lady of Cathedrals," and the fairytale-like Alcázar of Segovia, its blue spires resembling a scene from a fairytale.

Afterwards, head to Cuenca, a cliffside city famous for its "hanging houses." Stand on the São Paulo Bridge and gaze upon the red-tiled roofs and white walls intertwined with the deep valley and river, experiencing the magnificent fusion of natural landscape and medieval architecture. Overnight in Cuenca or a nearby city.

Then, arrive at the City of Three Cultures - Toledo. This former imperial capital blends the heritage of Christian, Islamic, and Jewish civilizations, with winding streets, churches, mosques, and castles standing side by side. Visit the magnificent Toledo Cathedral, and admire the ultimate expression of Gothic art.
