1. What is the booking process?
After you pay for the tour online and complete your personal information, we will send you a booking confirmation email within 1-2 business days. Upon receiving the confirmation email, you can proceed to book your round-trip transportation to the tour's starting city and hotel accommodation. 2-3 days before departure, we will send you the guide's contact information and tour notification via email.
2. Is there a minimum number of participants required for the tour to proceed?
There is no minimum number of participants for this tour. All planned tour dates are guaranteed to depart, so please book with confidence.
3. What personal information is required for booking?
Please provide the following personal information: Name / Gender / Date of Birth / Nationality / Passport / Email / Mobile Phone
4. If traveling alone, how is the tour fee calculated?
The Premium Tour series does not guarantee shared rooms. Solo travelers will be charged a single supplement. If a roommate can be arranged 7 days before departure, the single supplement will be refunded.
5. Can the guide pick me up from my hotel?
Unfortunately, you will need to make your own way to the meeting point. To save everyone's time, we designate a central meeting point with public transportation access.
6. What is the size of the tour group?
We usually use tour buses or commercial vans. For small vehicles of 9 seats or fewer, a Chinese driver and guide will be provided.
7. If traveling alone, can I specify a roommate?
We will randomly arrange a same-sex roommate. We cannot accommodate requests for specific roommates or other special conditions.
8. Can minors join the tour alone?
Unfortunately, minors must be accompanied by at least one adult to join the tour. We cannot accept bookings for unaccompanied minors.
9. Can I join mid-tour or leave early?
If you need to join mid-tour or leave early, you are still required to pay the full tour fee (except for multi-city circular tours). Please confirm feasibility with customer service before booking.
10. How are lunch and dinner handled?
Lunch and dinner are at your own expense. Meals are usually arranged at attractions, along the way, or at hotels. You can ask your guide for recommendations on dining places and advice.
11. Are there any baggage restrictions?
Each traveler may carry one piece of luggage not exceeding 23kg and with dimensions not exceeding 158cm (sum of three sides), plus a small personal bag. For special requirements, please contact customer service.
12. Do hotel rooms provide kettles and hairdryers?
Most hotels provide hairdryers and kettles. If you need to use them daily, it is recommended to bring your own.
13. Do hotels provide disposable toiletries and slippers?
To protect the environment, hotels generally do not provide disposable toiletries and slippers. Please bring your own personal toiletries and slippers.
14. Can I smoke in hotel rooms or on the tour bus?
Smoking is prohibited in public places, including hotel rooms and tour buses, by law. Please comply with regulations and strictly refrain from smoking in hotel rooms or on the tour bus. If caught, you may face hefty fines or prosecution.
15. Can I use my own electric stove to cook in the hotel room?
Please do not cook in hotel rooms. The heat and smoke can trigger smoke alarms and sprinkler systems, leading to an emergency evacuation of all guests. This could result in unnecessary financial losses for you.
16. Can the travel agency purchase personal travel insurance for me?
We cannot purchase personal travel insurance on your behalf. However, we strongly recommend that you purchase suitable personal travel insurance in your country of residence before departure and provide accurate personal information to ensure a safe and worry-free trip.
17. Can credit cards be used during the trip?
Most merchants accept international credit cards. Payment methods such as UnionPay, Alipay, and WeChat Pay are not common in Europe. We recommend carrying an international credit card and a small amount of British Pounds cash for tips, entrance fees, or personal use. For your safety, please do not carry large amounts of cash.
18. Is there compulsory shopping on this tour?
In the UK and Europe, compulsory shopping tours are illegal. We offer pure leisure tours with no compulsory shopping arrangements, so you can fully enjoy every moment of your trip.
19. Is this tour suitable for children and seniors?
This itinerary involves long journeys, low-temperature environments, and includes various snow and outdoor activities such as icebreaker cruises, reindeer sledding, husky sledding, and snowmobiling. The overall temperature is low, and the pace of the itinerary is quite rich. It is generally recommended for children with a certain cold tolerance and who can adapt to the team's schedule. Infants under 4 years old are not recommended to participate in snow activities. If traveling with children, parents should assess their child's physical condition and adaptability in advance. Seniors who are healthy and have good mobility can generally participate. For those with cardiovascular disease, respiratory problems, limited mobility, or who are not suitable for low-temperature environments, it is recommended to carefully evaluate before booking and consult a doctor's opinion in advance.
20. Can children participate in snow activities?
Some snow activities have height, age, or safety requirements for children. For example, icebreaker floating usually requires meeting a specific height standard; in snowmobile activities, younger or shorter children usually cannot drive and can only ride on a sled according to on-site regulations. Whether they can participate depends on the local activity company's safety regulations on the day.
21. Do I need to prepare my own warm clothing for snow activities?
Yes. Except for some activities like snowmobiling, King Crab safaris, and icebreaker floating, which provide professional warm clothing, other snow activities such as reindeer sledding and husky sledding usually require visitors to prepare or rent their own warm clothing. It is recommended to prepare waterproof and non-slip snow boots, thick down jackets, warm pants, hats, scarves, gloves, and hand warmers. If the guide determines that the clothing is insufficient to ensure safety, they have the right to refuse guests from participating in snow activities, and related fees are usually not refunded.
22. Is there a lot of free time?
This itinerary focuses on polar experiences and inter-city travel, with a generally packed schedule, so free time is relatively limited. If you do not participate in some optional activities, such as snowmobiling for aurora viewing or King Crab safaris, free time will usually be arranged at the hotel or in a local town, subject to the guide's arrangements on the day.
23. Will not participating in optional activities affect the itinerary?
It will not affect the basic itinerary. Optional activities are voluntary. If you do not participate, the guide will arrange free time for you at the hotel or in the nearby area based on the actual route. However, as it gets dark early and temperatures are low in the Nordic winter, it is recommended to prepare food and warm clothing in advance, and to heed the guide's reminders regarding meeting times and safe areas.
24. Is it guaranteed to see the Northern Lights?
The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon influenced by various factors such as weather, cloud cover, solar activity, and light pollution, so there is no guarantee of seeing them. This itinerary will pass through active aurora regions and arrange suitable viewing spots or optional aurora chasing activities, but the final viewing outcome depends on the natural conditions on the day.
25. Can I upgrade to a glass igloo?
You can upgrade to an Aurora Village glass igloo or Arctic Sky Suite at your own expense, subject to availability. Due to very limited availability of glass igloos in winter, early application is required, and usually room fees must be paid before confirmation. If the room cannot be confirmed in the end, a refund will be issued. Once a glass igloo is confirmed, the cancellation policy is strict, so please confirm carefully before booking.
26. What warm clothes should I prepare for Northern Europe in November-December?
Iceland's environment is quite different from what most people are familiar with. It's located in a polar climate zone with changeable weather, especially many storms in winter. Once it's windy and rainy, temperatures can plummet to several degrees below zero, making a down jacket essential. When preparing clothes, prioritize warmth, with windproof and waterproof features being best.
Iceland is windy all year round. Wear a hat and scarf to protect your head and neck from the cold. Gloves are also a must.
Sunglasses or glasses can effectively reduce damage to the eyes from snow glare and strong winds.
Clothing suggestions:
- First layer: Lightweight thermal base layers (top and bottom); quick-dry ski wear is also a good option;
- Second layer: Fleece jacket and lightweight down inner jacket;
- Third layer: Down jacket, or soft/hard shell waterproof and windproof jacket, or ski suit. Pay attention to layering for easy adjustment. Bright colors make for better photos.
- Shoes: If possible, prepare outdoor hiking boots (mid to high-top), which provide effective warmth, waterproofing, slip resistance, and ankle protection.
- Swimsuit: A swimsuit is needed for the Blue Lagoon hot springs. Some hotels may have free public hot baths (similar to small hot springs), so be sure to bring one.
27. How much cash should I prepare?
You don't need a large amount of cash; 100-200 Euros per person for optional activities should suffice. A credit card is essential, as most local shops, restaurants, convenience stores, public transport, and taxis accept credit card payments, including public toilets (if you have a credit card, you don't need cash).
