Attraction Introduction
The highest peak in Europe and one of the most enchanting sights of the Bernese Highlands, it is known as the “Queen of the Alps.” Standing at 4,158 meters and stretching across 18 kilometers, the Jungfrau resembles a maiden lying peacefully among the clouds, draped in long hair and covered in shimmering snow.
How to Get There
To reach Jungfraujoch, you usually need to transfer through mountain towns. Common routes are as follows:
- From Interlaken (most common) → Train to Grindelwald or Lauterbrunnen (approx. 30–40 minutes) → Transfer to a mountain railway (Eiger Express gondola or cogwheel train) → Finally arrive at Jungfraujoch (total journey approx. 2–2.5 hours)
- From Lucerne → Train to Interlaken (approx. 2 hours) → Then follow the route described above
👉 It is recommended to choose a package ticket (Jungfrau Travel Pass) or arrange through a travel agency/private car for a more convenient and smooth journey.
