Attraction Introduction
Königssee is a famous lake in the Bavarian Alps and one of the deepest lakes in Germany. It is long and narrow, surrounded by mountains, with majestic peaks and tranquil waters complementing each other. The refreshing alpine lake water is so clean that it is directly drinkable. The lake surface is like a mirror, emerald green like jade, surrounded by towering, steep mountains. It feels as if a giant cleaved an axe through the mountains. Traveling by boat through it is like being in a fairy tale, earning it the reputation as Germany's most beautiful lake. It is said that Königssee got its name from the surrounding mountains: one resembles a king, another a queen, and the small hill in the middle is their child. In the distance, there is also the recumbent Watzmann mountain, shaped like a witch.
