Attraction Introduction

Corissaroch Gorge, located in northwest Scotland, is a deep canyon landscape carved by glaciers and rivers. The gorge is approximately 1.5 kilometers long and over 60 meters deep, with a rushing river flowing through its center, forming a spectacular waterfall. Suspension bridges and viewing trails span the gorge, allowing visitors to enjoy panoramic views of the terrain and waterfalls from various angles. The area boasts well-preserved natural scenery and is a prime location for appreciating the unique landscape of the Scottish Highlands.

How to Get There

Most people travel to the Korissaloch Gorge by car or chartered vehicle. It's usually about a 20-minute drive from Ullapool, with the entrance accessible via the A835 highway. A small parking lot is available, but spaces are limited during peak season. Public transport is infrequent, so advance planning is recommended. Upon arrival, you'll need to walk to the gorge's viewing area; the trail is not very long.

Travel Tips

The canyon trail is a natural path and may be slippery in rainy weather, so it is recommended to wear non-slip shoes. Slight swaying of the suspension bridge is normal. The overall walking distance is not long, but some sections are sloped, so please be careful when visiting.
