Attraction Introduction
Aït Benhaddou is an ancient fortified village built of adobe buildings, surrounded by high walls and arrow towers, and is a typical example of a pre-Saharan settlement. The ancient city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and was featured as a filming location for "Yunkay, Slaver's Bay" in Game of Thrones. Traces of local indigenous life can still be seen today, and crossing the moat on a donkey is a unique experience.
